PREFACE
This study was not written to predict dates or provoke speculation about the future. It was written to address a more foundational question: how does Scripture itself measure time? Before prophecy can be weighed or expectations formed, the starting line must be rightly placed.
For centuries, biblical chronologies have assumed that time begins at creation, despite Scripture never recording creation in measurable terms or revealing the length of humanity’s life in Eden. What Scripture does record—carefully and consistently—are the years of human life lived under mortality, beginning when death enters the world. This study takes that distinction seriously.
The Great Count AM Chronologyseeks neither to force harmonization nor to advance novel claims, but to follow the biblical text where it leads—treating genealogies as intentional chronological markers and measuring time where Scripture chooses to measure it, within the age shaped by death and redemption.
Readers should not expect prophetic timetables or date-setting. What is offered instead is a framework—one that brings coherence to Scripture’s internal timeline and invites careful reflection on where humanity may stand within a story moving steadily toward its promised rest.
